Pinpointe - Release 40 (December 2019) - Overview
Release 40 adds some exciting new functionality and improvements
A few of the major areas of focus are:
User can now specify default values for merged custom fields during send-time when creating an email template.
Ability to schedule batched sends using the local time zone of the user’s email contacts.
Capturing of additional information in a contact’s Event Log for automated campaigns such as drips and triggered emails including campaign creating, editing, deleting, pausing, resuming, activating and deactivating.
Users may now delete a contact or change the contact’s status to bounced / unsubscribed even if that contact is part of a scheduled (but not yet actively sending) campaign send.
Enhanced Google Analytics tracking of batched, predictive and autoresponder email sends.
New Features
[PINPOINTE-1535] - Export: Add Total Clicks/Total Opens when exporting contacts
The following columns have been added to the exported CSV file containing the user’s contacts:
Total clicks
Total opens
Last open (date)
Last click (date)
See Fig 1 below:

[PINPOINTE-1189, 1355] Campaigns: Ability to Set Send-Time 'Default Value' for Merge Fields
The user may now select a default value for merged (variablized) custom fields at campaign send-time to account for those contacts who have no value for a specific custom field within the send-to database.
The process begins when a user inserts a to-be-merged custom field into an email template:
Fig 1
At send-time, you will see a collapsed option, “CUSTOM FIELD SETTINGS”. Clicking the down arrow will expand the feature menu.
Fig 2
You can enter a default value for any of the merged fields. Values will be used as a default for all recipients that do not have an existing value in the contact database. Please note: This assigned default value is for this specific campaign send only.
Fig 3
Fig 4 below is an example of a received email where the recipient contact had no existing value for the two merged fields inserted into the email template.
Fig 4
[PINPOINTE-1558] - Split Test: Allow Edit/Update Time of scheduled Split Test in Queue
Users can now edit the date and time of a scheduled split test by going to the Campaign Queue page and selecting “edit” option.
Fig 1
Use the “EMAIL SCHEDULING OPTIONS” feature to edit the split test send date and time.
Fig 2
[PINPOINTE-1306] - Sending: Schedule - Schedule at Recipient’s Local Time Zone
This exciting new feature adds the ability to schedule a campaign to arrive at each recipient’s respective local time. Campaigns are usually sent together at the Pinpointe account’s local timezone at one time.
The Local Time Zone feature attempts to send the email to each recipient so they receive it at the scheduled time in their local time zone. For example, if a campaign is scheduled at 9:00 a.m., each recipient will receive the email at approximately 9:00 a.m. in their local time zone. This new feature schedules the campaign to send in 24 total batches over a 24 hour period.
If the desired send-time in the contacts' zone has already passed for the day of the send, the user may elect to send the email to these contacts immediately.

Improvements
[PINPOINTE- 1395] - Export: Contacts => Export Contacts => Lists Export shows no counts if more than 10 Lists
System rules have been updated so that List Counts are shown regardless of number of lists exported.
[PINPOINTE-1578] - Automated Emails: Drips - Send/Open/Click events are not added to contact event log
Contact event logs will now capture and show sends / opens / clicks for individual automated drip emails.
Fig 1
[PINPOINTE-1595] - Automated Emails: Update Options for Drips and Triggered Emails
UI for Autoresponders and Triggered email features have been updated to conform with general appearance of other sections of the application. Fig 1 below shows the updated UI for the Automated Email main page.
Fig 1
[PINPOINTE-1177] - Sending: User can now Delete and Update Contact Status for Contacts While Campaign is Queued
Users can now delete a contact or mark a contact as bounced / unsubscribed if that contact is part of a campaign that is scheduled to send (BUT is not yet actively sending).
[PINPOINTE-1579] - Sending: Allows Advanced Editing Options for Queued Campaigns
UI for campaign send page has been updated to conform with general appearance of other sections of the application and allows more flexibility in modifying campaign options for campaigns that are in queue.
Fig 1 below shows the updated UI for the Send an Email Campaign page.

[PINPOINTE-1584,1585,1586] - Sending: Google Analytics: - Now tracks when sending Batched Campaigns, Predictive sends and Automated (Drip) Campaigns

[PINPOINTE-1588] - Sending: Google Analytics Option - When Sending, do not require tracking to be “ON” in order to use GA
The option to track via Google Analytics is no longer dependent on activating link tracking within Pinpointe. These options have been separated. See below.
Fig 1
[PINPOINTE-1536] - Statistics: Statistics => Statistics Details Tab => Export - Include 'Domain' Column on Export
The send-from domain name has been added to the exported data for a campaign.

[PINPOINTE-1562] - Builder: Buttons lose styles and text becomes blue linked text
This issue has been resolved. Buttons created in the Builder now render in the Previewer correctly. There are still limitations as to certain button stylings that Outlook will allow but this is outside the control of the application.
[PINPOINTE-1573] - Builder: Separator blocks and widgets do not maintain a max width based upon device size
This problem has been fixed. The separator block and separator widget now render correctly on all devices, including mobile devices.
[PINPOINTE-1581] - Builder: Centered text in mobile mode on Android does not render correctly

[PINPOINTE-1537] - Statistics: Donut Graph Error - Need to account for Bounces and Unsubs
The problem has been fixed. “Donut” graph did not correctly account for bounces and unsubscribes when rendered for certain types of send statistics:
Generic Statistics Snapshot report for all send types
Split Test statistics
[PINPOINTE-1552] - Statistics: PDF Generation failing if not waiting long enough
This issue has been fixed. System will now prevent “PDF” download button from being clickable until full suite of reports have loaded and are ready for download.
Fig 1
[PINPOINTE-1577] - Statistics: Split Tests Stats - Underlying calculations for donut graph and chart on split test Snapshot page need to be modified
This issue has been resolved. The “Donut” graph has been modified to focus on the winning split test campaign.
[PINPOINTE-1587] - Statistics: Changing pagination for a contact's event log view - no longer displays all entries
This problem has been fixed. Prior to fix, if you changed the 'Results per Page' setting, the settings option never appeared again and a user could not view all the events. For example, if a user set the screen to show 40 events per page but then tried to change it to show 10, the user would then only see the first 10 entries and the option to set the pagination was no longer accessible. Fig 1 below shows updated contact Events Log.
