Before enabling 2FA, it's important to verify that your contact details (email address, mobile phone number) are correct!
If you have shared user/subuser logins, you'll need to set up separate subuser logins for each person that accesses Pinpointe. Your primary account owner can assist with setting up a separate login for you. If you need further assistance, please contact Pinpointe Support for assistance.
Pinpointe now supports two-factor authentication (2FA). After you register an authentication method, your account will require you to enter a 6-digit verification code after logging in to access Pinpointe.
After setting up Email 2FA, 2FA can also be set up via SMS text message or via an Authenticator App (Time-based One-time Password).
- SMS Text Message: Receive a text message on your mobile phone with the 6-digit verification code
- Mobile phone numbers must have their country prefix. We support:
- US (ex. +1-555-555-5555)
- Canada (ex. +1-555-555-5555)
- Mexico (ex. +1-52-55-5555-5555)
- Mobile phone numbers must have their country prefix. We support:
- Email: This sends an email with a 6-digit verification code to the email address that's set up for your account. The email address you use for 2FA is the same email that we use to communicate product updates and support to, so it's important that it's an email address that you can access. This is the only 2FA method that's required.
- Time-based One-Time Password: Receive the code on your mobile phone via a 2FA authentication app (Authy, Zoho OneAuth, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.) to provide you with a 6-digit verification code
If your haven't set up 2FA via Email the first time around, the next time you log in, you'll be required to register Email as a 2FA method.
On the Verification Code, screen, type in the code you've received, and click on the "Verify" button (Fig 1).

If you want your browser to remember the verification code, then you won't have to enter a verification code after logging in for 30 calendar days.
It's important that when you receive your verification code to type it in as soon as you can; if you wait too long, the codes won't work.
If you get an error message regarding your code, you can click the Back button and request a code again.
