Before enabling 2FA, it's important to verify that your contact details (email address, mobile phone number) are correct!

If you have shared user/subuser logins, you'll need to set up separate subuser logins for each person that accesses Pinpointe. Please contact Pinpointe Support for assistance.

After logging in to your Pinpointe account, click on the Time-Based One-Time Password option and click on Send Code to send the verification code to your authenticator app on your smartphone.

On the Verification Code page, you'll be presented with a QR code (Fig 2).

On your smartphone, open up your authenticator app (Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, Zoho OneAuth; if you're unsure about which one to use, contact your System Administrator).

There should be some sort of option allowing you to "Add Account"; tap on that and you'll be prompted to take a picture of the QR code. This example is from Authy, but whichever authenticator app you use should have a similar screen (Fig 3).

After scanning the QR code, you'll be redirected to a screen where you can save the account name (Fig 4). Save the new account.

After the account is saved, you'll want to tap on it in the authenticator app to select it. You'll be provided with a 6-digit code that is updated every 30-seconds (Fig 5).

You'll want to type this code on the Verification Code screen then click the Verify button (Fig 6). It's really important you type this in before the token expires in the authenticator app.

If you see the token is going to expire in a few seconds, wait for a new one to generate. It's best to use a token at the start of the 30-second cycle.  You'll be provided with a 6-digit code that is updated every 30-seconds.

If you want, you can check the checkbox to let your browser remember your computer for 30 calendar days.

If you are having problems getting the code from your authenticator app to work, contact your System Administrator.
