From time to time, you may see a red number show up in the "Complaints" column on the Email Campaign Statistics screen or when you drill further down into the statistics of a particular campaign.
These "Complaints" are generated when an email recipient marks the email as “This is Spam” in some form or fashion.
This situation results in our servers receiving a code from the recipients ESP that signals our server to mark the message as a "Complaint."
Notes:
-
Some providers, such as GMAIL and HOTMAIL do not currently provide a feedback loop to our servers for Complaints; thus, complaints by recipients using these ESPs will not show up in our Complaints Statistics.
-
We do not provide the details, such as email address, of the persons who complained due to Regulatory Guidelines.
