Custom fields are fields of data that are not the default in Pinpointe. They allow you to collect and store additional information from your contacts, like birthdate, LinkedIn profile, Company Revenue, etc. This information allows you to better personalize your email communications so you can improve your response rates.
Choosing What Information to Collect
Choose any information that will help you personalize your communications. For an example, if you send a birthday offer out to your subscription list every month, gathering your subscribers' birthdays would be a must.
The more information you ask for, the less likely your contacts will want to join your contact list.
