When the new Basic Editor first opens, you will be presented with this view (Fig 1):

Fig 1

At the top of the page are familiar buttons currently available in the WYSIWYG Editor:

  • Inbox Preview: Opens up a third-party preview tool hosted by Litmus; this is essentially the same type of tool as was previously available with tool by Email On Acid.
  • Quick Send: Allows you to send both HTML and text versions of your campaign to a specified email address(es).
  • Spam Checker: Opens the existing Spam Assassin tool.
  • View HTML: Opens a window with your current source code
  • Save & Exit: Allows you to save your work in the New Basic Editor and Exit.

The primary canvas work area is the same to the previous WYSIWYG Editor (Fig 2).

Features of the canvas area includes:

  • Campaign Name
  • Campaign Subject
  • Preview Text
  • Tracking Pixel
  • HTML View

Below the canvas area are 3 buttons (Fig 3):

  • A "Save Changes" button that allows you to save work without exiting the Editor.
  • An "Import HTML" button that will allow you to directly import in a file.
  • A "Cancel" button that will exit the Editor without saving your current work and take you back to Manage Email Messages page.
