The Drag & Drop Builder is split up into five main sections:
DEFAULT VIEW
After opening the New Drag & Drop Builder, if you select Newsletter or Journey, you will be presented with this view (Fig 1):
Fig 1
The D&D Builder tool is broken up into several areas:
- Vertical menus (on the left)
- Template input fields (above the canvas section with the exception of "Tracking Pixel" which is below)
- Campaign Name
- Subject
- Preview Text
- Tracking Pixel
- Horizontal control functions (top-right corner)
- Builder canvas section in the middle of the screen
VERTICAL MENU
The vertical menu on the left is the same as in the old Builder with a few additions:
- In the New Builder, the menu is collapsible by clicking the small orange "three lines" or "left arrow" icons near the top left adjacent to the Pinpointe name and logo. If collapsed, clicking the three line icon will expand the menu. If expanded, clicking the the "left arrow" icon will collapse it (Fig 2).

- The "Preset Blocks" option is always present, whether or not there are any specific preset blocks available for a given template.
TEMPLATE INPUT FIELDS
The following four input fields work the same as in the old Builder (Fig 3):
- Campaign Name
- Subject
- Preview Text
- Tracking Pixel

HORIZONTAL CONTROL FUNCTIONS
The horizontal control functions located at the top of the page control functions are the same as in the old Builder, although the exact placement order has changed. In addition, the controls for Inbox Box Preview and Quicksend are no longer labeled. Rolling your cursor over any icon will now show a pop-up text bubble indicating the name of the respective function (Fig 4).

BUILDER CANVAS
The main Builder Canvas section works in the same way as the old Builder in that you can select and drag blocks and widgets from the left hand menus into the selected area. There are some cosmetic changes as noted below.
- The four controls for parent blocks are now all located on the right side of the parent block. As with the old Builder, they appear when you roll your cursor over any portion of the parent block. Rolling your cursor over any icon will display a text bubble indicating its function (Fig 5).
- Note: The up/down arrows used in the old Builder to move a block have now been replaced with an icon (the top icon in the stack shown as two horizontal lines above and below a rectangle). To drag a parent block up or down in the template, you left-click and hold, and then drag the block to the desired vertical location in the parent block stack.

- There's a new visual cue indicating where a new block or widget will be placed. In the old Builder, this placement location was indicated by a heavy dark green line. In the New Builder, the placement location is indicated by a rectangle outlined with orange dots (Fig 6).
